Output documents for future dated amalgamation filings with a requested date of January 1, 2026, may be delayed due to a technical issue. When processed, the output documents will reflect the date requested in the filing (e.g., January 1, 2026). To avoid potential delays in receiving output documents, we recommend submitting amalgamations on the effective date, where applicable.

Note: Amalgamations that do not require a future effective date are not impacted by this issue. Click here for more details.

Business Numbers: The OBR can take up to 48 hours to display a new Business Number once registration is completed, and Amalgamations may take up to 1 month.

The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement (MPBSDP) is aware of an issue impacting the ability to obtain Business Numbers (BNs) for Sole Proprietorships and Limited Partnerships. MPBSDP will be sending notifications with the BN to the official email addresses of entities registered in 2025, where the BN is not displayed in OBR. These notifications will be sent via email from OBR Business Numbers Notification. MPBSDP appreciates your patience as we work to send BN notifications to these entities.
