Exciting News! The ServiceOntario Account for businesses is becoming the Ontario Business Account on February 23, 2026. This change is part of our ongoing commitment to provide easier access to the existing services businesses need and improve their experience, making it simpler, clearer, and more convenient.
As a result, the ServiceOntario Account will be unavailable from 6:00PM on February 20, 2026, to 11:59PM on February 22, 2026.

If you are an intermediary organization currently using the ServiceOntario Account to manage Ontario Business Registry (OBR) services on behalf of clients, you are encouraged to use the OBR Partner Portal, which is designed to support intermediaries in managing client accounts more efficiently.
Business Numbers: The OBR can take up to 48 hours to display a new Business Number once registration is completed, and Amalgamations may take up to 1 month.
The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement (MPBSDP) is aware of an issue impacting the ability to obtain Business Numbers (BNs) for Sole Proprietorships and Limited Partnerships. MPBSDP will be sending notifications with the BN to the official email addresses of entities registered in 2025, where the BN is not displayed in OBR. These notifications will be sent via email from OBR Business Numbers Notification. MPBSDP appreciates your patience as we work to send BN notifications to these entities.

Future Dated and Consecutive Filings :Provides information about effective dates for future dated and consecutive filings, along with a list of Ministry holidays. Note :Filings submitted on holidays will be reviewed the next business day.
