Mail delivery delay
A disruption in Canada Post services will delay both incoming and outgoing ServiceOntario mail.
To mitigate these delays, clients are advised to utilize online services whenever possible. If online options are unavailable, it is recommended to explore courier services as an alternative for sending documents via Canada Post during this period.
Note: Business Numbers can take up to 48 hours to be displayed in the OBR once new registrations are completed.
Business numbers for amalgamations may take up to 15 business days. For more information on the OBR data exchange with CRA, please refer to the OBR and CRA System Integrations link for more details.
The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement (MPBSDP) is aware of an issue currently impacting the ability to obtain Business Numbers (BNs) for Sole Proprietorships and Limited Partnerships. We are actively working with the Canada Revenue Agency to resolve the issue and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
